Cardi B Reaches 100 Million Streams and Beats Taylor Swift

Cardi B is most likely the most talked about artist since releasing her first single, Bodak Yellow.

Her genuine personality and social media presence has people talking about her, making memes and sharing her sassy video clips.

Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which was released just last week, has already amassed over 100 million streams worldwide – completely smashing Apple Music’s record for the most streamed album by a female artist in its first week and dethroning Taylor Swift and her 2017 album, Reputation.

Invasion of Privacy currently sits at No. 5 on Apple Music’s global chart of the most streamed albums to date. Cardi B has not only taken Taylor Swift’s spot, she has sky rocketed and beaten Ed Sheeran’s Grammy Award winning album, Divide and The Weeknd’s Hot 100 record, Starboy.

Cardi’s album is anticipated to top the Billboard 200 chart at No.1, according to Hits Daily Double, and will be only the 5th female rapper to have achieved this spot. The young star, will be in the charts alongside the likes of Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, Foxy Brown and Eve.

Invasion of Privacy was instantly certified Gold by the RIAA following the success of her debut single, Bodak Yellow.

Cardi B, amidst tense drama rumors with Nicki Minaj has had some incredible wins and is celebrating her successes. Recently a guest on Jimmy Fallon, the star also revealed her pregnancy with fiancé, rapper Offset, following the release of her album.

The former reality show Love & Hip Hop New York cast member has no plans to slow down 7 months into her pregnancy however, she is set to perform at Coachella and has plans to continue her seven week tour with Bruno Mars, with the baby in tow!
