Guess Which Palestinian-American Celebrity Just Got Her Very Own Barbie Doll?

Yes, it’s true! You can now own the brand-new Tommy x Gigi Barbie doll, modelled to look like 22-year-old Palestinian American supermodel, Gigi Hadid. The doll, which currently retails for $50 on Tommy.com and Barbie.com, dons a navy flag hoodie, shorts, and cute sneakers – a scaled-down version of what Hadid wore on the fall 2016 debut Tommy x Gigi runway last September.

Earlier this year, Hadid and Hilfiger collaborated with Mattel on a Gigi Barbie doll, a spitting image of the supermodel with her signature wavy hair and almond-shaped eyes. According to InStyle, “Barbie originally pieced together a SoCal cool doll in Gigi Hadid's likeness last year to celebrate her fall 2016 and spring 2017 Tommy x Gigi collections with Tommy Hilfiger.”

The Instagram post of the doll on the BarbieStyle page was so popular that it was only natural the Tommy x Gigi Barbie doll be made available for anyone to purchase.

“I’m so honored to have my own Barbie, which celebrates an iconic moment in my partnership with Tommy Hilfiger,” Hadid said in a statement. “Seeing the final look of the doll was an amazing experience, and I’m excited to share this really cool creation with fans around the world.”

Hilfiger also shared his enthusiasm, saying “[t]he collaboration with Gigi and Barbie was an exciting new twist on our brand’s history of partnering with pop culture icons and our ongoing ambassadorship with Gigi.”

Hadid has had long-term partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, as the face of the brand for over a year, and this isn’t the first collaboration for the famed catwalker.

Hadid took to Instagram in October this year to announce to her over 36 million followers the Gigi Hadid x Maybelline Jetsetter Palette, a collection of makeup must-haves, propelling her into a niche of female celebrities with successful makeup lines, such as Rihanna, Kim Kardashian West, and Kendall Jenner.
