Fantastic Things To Do On Saudi National Day 2022

One of the most significant occasions in the Kingdom is Saudi National Day, which honors the beginning of contemporary Saudi Arabia. Also known as Al Yom Al Watany in Arabic, and occurs annually on September 23. Saudi Arabia's National Day is a holiday that serves as a day of celebration for the country. The day commemorates King Abdul Aziz Al Saud's renaming of the Kingdom of Najd and Hejaz as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2005, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud declared the day a public holiday.

This year’s 92nd annual Saudi National Day is expected to be the biggest yet with the theme and catchphrase "Heya Lana Dar," which translates to "Saudi is Our Home."

The Saudi General Entertainment Authority said, “this theme reflects sincere and deep connotations and touches the conscience of Saudis who describe the Kingdom as “Dar (home)” in many popular songs and poems that represent part of Saudi past and present.” National Day will also be focused on Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives.

Since Saudi National Day is a public holiday, you can extend the festivities over a three-day weekend. If you are wondering, there are lots to do as there are many special events happening all around in restaurants, hotels, malls, and stadiums. Check out a few fantastic things to look out for.
