Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are planning a three-day long wedding celebration, one month after their spontaneous nuptials in Las Vegas and chic honeymoon in Paris the city of love.
TMZ reported that the festivities will take place this weekend at Affleck’s Riceboro estate in Georgia. It will all kick off with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, August 19, and continue into the weekend, according to Page Six. A second wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday, and the couple will end their extravagant weekend with a barbecue and picnic on Sunday. An insider exclusively told Page Six, “It’s going to be all about J.Lo. Ben wants all of the focus to be on her for their big day.”
Vogue magazine is expected to be on hand to document the superstar's special weekend. Lopez will also be giving updates to her fans through her “On the JLo” newsletter. The newly wed will be wearing a custom couture Ralph Lauren dress made in Italy. She previously wore two dresses for her impromptu Vegas wedding. One simple wedding dress was 'from an old movie' she worked on, and the second one that she later changed into was a lacy creation designed by none other than Zuhair Murad.
Contrary to their quiet and low-key wedding in Vegas, Lopez, 53, and Affleck, who celebrated his 50th birthday this week, have invited family and friends this time round. Lopez’s closest family members are her twins Maximilian and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, as well as her mother Guadalupe and father David, and sisters Lynda and Leslie. Meanwhile Ben shares three children Violet, Seraphina, and son Samuel, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Ben’s brother Casey Affleck will also be there, as well as Ben's best friend Matt Damon, and other friends including Jimmy Kimmel, and Drea de Matteo who are among the celebrity guests expected to attend. Sources told Page Six that Leah Remini, Jane Fonda and Renee Zellweger are also known to be on the guest list. The whole celebration has been meticulously planned by A-list event planner to the stars Colin Cowie.
