We're Not Done Talking About Jennifer Lopez's Wedding Dresses

Here's why.

Jennifer Lopez could not wait to share her happiness with the world. The music icon broke her silence on her Las Vegas intimate wedding to Ben Affleck in her ‘On the JLo" newsletter on Sunday. Lopez shared photos from the day confirming her marriage and disclosing that she said “I do” wearing “a dress from an old movie”.

Her longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton took to Instagram to post a behind-the-scenes video reel he took of her twirling excitedly in the dress, where she amazingly explained, “I've had this dress for so many years, and I've just been saving it, saving it, saving it, and now I'm wearing it on my wedding day.”

As always the ever-sensational Lopez gave the intimate wedding a touch of lavishness in an upcycled Alexander McQueen dress, romantic smoky eyed makeup, and a gorgeous half-updo. The textured full-skirted dress featured floral jacquard detailing, a fitted bodice and a jewel neckline. She accessorized it with a set of matching diamond earrings and a bracelet, and added a cream bag as a final touch. For her hair, Appleton styled it half-up, with her long hair flowing down her shoulders and back in sleek, shiny waves with a top section fastened back, ready for her veil to be added.

She revealed that the dress is from a previous film. "So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben's closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives," she wrote.

For the special occasion, Lopez didn’t choose one but two wedding dresses.

Having chosen a nostalgic dress for her first gown, Lopez then switched into a more modern silhouette. In the Tunnel of Vows drive-through, which features a blue ceiling painted with cherubs, photos reveal Lopez in her second wedding dress from Zuhair Murad’s spring 2023 bridal collection. The dress features a white off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, with long lace sleeves. Its structured bodice flows gracefully into a fishtail train. Finishing off the look with a matching lace veil, Jennifer Lopez – or, rather, Jennifer Lynn Affleck - was a picture of beauty and grace, the happiest bride we've seen in a while.
