Much loved Iraqi singer, Kadim Al Sahir will be opening Expo 2020 Dubai’s Infinite Nights concert series alongside a plethora of regional and international talents. The show is set to take place at the “beating heart of Expo 2020” at the Al Wasl Plaza, on October 15th, where it will also be available to be live streamed by people all over the world along with innovative “phygital” experiences aided by advanced technology.
The concert will be opened by Kadim Al Sahir, who is otherwise referred to as the “Ceasar of Arabic song and Iraq’s ambassador to the world,” will be performing under the Expo’s Opportunity subtheme, and highlighting the rich legacy of Arabic music. Every Infinite Nights performance will be based on a subtheme – Opportunity, Mobility, or Sustainability.
The celebration of the opening of Expo 2020 also marks the Iraqi singer’s return to the stage following a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement, Al Sahir said, “I am excited to be back in front of an audience after a two-year break, to open the Infinite Nights series from the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai. This is a wonderful opportunity to unite the world through music and song and celebrate our accomplishments. I am honored to be part of this incredible global event that will bring the world together, and I promise you it will be a great night.”
Kadim Al Sahir is best known for his ability to release music the Arab region loves across a number of genres including, pop, Arabic classical, romantic ballads and more, and has sold over 100 million albums throughout his career.
Expo 2020 Dubai’s Infinite Nights concert series will run right up until March 2022 when the event comes to an end.
