Alicia Keys Is Coming to Dubai To Perform and Inspire

In addition to an exceptional musical performance, the singer/songwriter will be giving a talk to ‘help inspire, empower and motivate people to be their authentic selves.’

Alicia Keys is coming to Dubai, however her trip to the emirate involves much more than one of her usual stunning live performances. While the 15-time Grammy award winning artist is known for hits like Girl On Fire and No One, she is going to be giving an empowering talk.

Keys, who is also a songwriter and music producer, is lending her voice to the Achieve the Unimaginable event at the Coca-Cola Arena on September 3. During her first motivational talk in the region, she will be helping “inspire, empower and motivate people to be their authentic selves,” according to the event’s promoter Najahi Events. The 38-year-old, who started composing songs at age 12, is part of a stellar line-up, headlined by renowned life and business coach Tony Robbins. Hip-hop artist-turned filmmaker, poet, activist and YouTuber Prince EA will also be making an appearance at the event.

“I am both honoured and excited to have Alicia Keys on our stage. Not only is she a role model to aspiring girls, but she is a humanitarian, a mother, a wife and one of the most successful people in the world,” Awfa Mustafa, CEO of Najahi Events, said. “Our aim is to tell stories and provide the knowledge through real life experience to motivate the masses.”

The audience will also get to enjoy “a special musical performance” by Keys during the event featuring the trio. Achieve the Unimaginable, which is 10 hours long, vows to help those who attend "discover your greatness, live your passion and achieve your goals.”  It will be supported by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD), which was established in 2013 in order to create future leaders.

Since she released her epic debut album Songs in A Minor in 2001, Keys has sold over 40 million records. The New York-born classically-trained pianist is also a film/television and Broadway producer, a talented actress and a New York Times best-selling author. The star is coming out with a new book, which is part autobiography, part narrative documentary, titled More Myself, available in March next year on the new Oprah Winfrey publishing imprint, An Oprah Book.
