Lindsay Lohan Takes Over Two Islands In Dubai

Over the past year, Lindsay Lohan has been making headlines following her recent foray into the Middle East, which has involved moving from the United States and relocating to Dubai, all part of her rebranding efforts as an actress and public figure.

The 31-year-old celebrity is once again on front page news, this time for her recent business endeavor: Lohan will be taking two islands off the coast of Dubai, putting her name on a set of luxury developments.

In an exclusive with Emirates Woman, the Hollywood star explained that as part of her new project, she will be taking over Lebanon Island and Thailand Island, creating beach clubs, a restaurant, private villas, a hotel, water sports stations, and more. The beach club on Lebanon is expected to open later this year, while there is no confirmed launch date for the Thailand development yet.

Speaking last year to Entertainment Tonight, the multitalented actress explained her choice to move from the US to the region, saying, “I love living in New York, but I do love the serenity and peace that I find living in the Middle East because there are no cameras in Dubai and I can actually focus on what I want to do in life.”

Lohan also announced last year on “The Wendy Williams Show” her latest role in “Frame,” a Saudi film about an American photographer who leaves her husband in the United States to move to Riyadh. Speaking about her character, Lohan explained that “Frame” is the story of a woman feeling her way through a culture that is new to her, who gets exposed to Saudi women for the first time.
