Celebrating Mothers with an Extremely Stylish Affair

Striking socialite Zoya Sakr truly enchanted other famous mums while hosting an intimate Mother’s Day lunch that featured a gorgeous blush set up designed by Marina Home.

Zoya Sakr has a successful tried and tested business formula, she’s arrestingly beautiful, much loved and as she recently proved, she really knows how to host a stylish gathering.  The Lebanese-Russian influencer invited fellow crème de la crème celebrity mums to a seated gourmet lunch to share and reminisce about all those priceless moments they’ve experienced thanks to their children.

The arrestingly tall former Miss Beauty International put all her trust in the Marina Home Interiors team when it came to the décor. The dreamy setting included stunning custom handcrafted floral chandeliers framed by peach chiffon drapes. And since spring is the most opportune time to create oodles of floral touches, the team from the Dubai-based premium home furnishings company added stunning centrepieces, featuring their latest faux silk roses, peonies, scabiosa, sweet peas and privets. Plus, Marina Home’s signature reclaimed Durham pine dining tables set the perfect backdrop for the memorable luncheon.

Every detail was carefully designed to pay tribute to motherhood. Guests, including Dana Hourani, Nina Ali, Lina Samman and Deema Al Asadi, even had nametags identifying them as the ‘mother of’, personalising the moment with the name of their children. Dalia Al Ali, Shirine Zaatari Halwani, Sawsan Haber and many more were on the invitee list too, with everyone receiving special hampers. In support of struggling mothers in the UAE, Marina Home placed custom gifts inside Al Ghadeer UAE Craft’s handwoven “Boksha” heritage baskets to empower women through sustainable crafts. Additionally, each mum got to go home with a perfect memento, the Marina Home handmade silk floral tiaras they symbolically self-crowned themselves with.

Sakr is the media marketing maven behind Al Aan TV and OLN.tv as well as websites like AnaZahra.com, gheir.com and nawa3em.com. The websites are under the umbrella of the 2Pure e-Publishing company, which she co-founded with her husband. She has served as the Group Editor-in-Chief.
