The American-Dutch-Palestinian supermodel Gigi Hadid just revealed her most recent collaboration with the prestigious Italian luxury fashion brand, Miu Miu, on Instagram. Taking cues from the avant-garde approach of the late British photographer Yevonde Middleton, the campaign was photographed by Steven Meisel and evokes a sense of glamour from the 1930s.
The campaign draws inspiration “from the stylized work of the pioneering British interwar photographer Yevonde. A feminist and suffragette, Yevonde’s career emblematizes freedom and independence…. Yevonde’s work of the 1930s is groundbreaking for its use of delicately nuanced and considered color, creating surreally perfect arrangements of models and high-society elites within utopian scopes of unreal props, drapery, and foliage,” per Miu Miu's press release.
In these captivating images, Hadid effortlessly showcases Miu Miu's signature matelasse design through the Wander and Arcadie bags, available in a warm palette of brown, orange, and yellow. Throughout the campaign, Hadid effortlessly flaunts her impeccable style, donning various ensembles that capture the essence of sophistication and elegance. From a beige form-fitting halter-neck dress to a vibrant orange top paired with black trousers and brown loafers, each outfit is carefully curated to accentuate the timeless allure of Miu Miu's creations. The addition of a floral halter-neck dress further elevates the refreshing vibe of the shoot, while a sleek black set and a navy collared dress add a touch of chic refinement.
