Game On Unveils Pioneering Sports and Entertainment Experience in Riyadh

The innovative sports and entertainment complex Game On has opened its doors in Riyadh's Ishbiliya District, ushering in a first-of-its-kind experience in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. According to Islam Gasser, the CEO of Game On, the company is governed by the General Entertainment Authority and represents the combination of two unique brands, Battle Karts and Game On, under the umbrella of sports entertainment.

Battle Karts, a Belgian karting brand, transforms video game arcades into tangible experiences, reimagining beloved childhood games like Mario Kart and Crash. In the meanwhile, Game On offers eight sports such as football, basketball, handball, and more, in interactive sports arcades to provide a full-fledged sports entertainment experience. The Battle Kart attraction is one of the several experiences that Game On, a Saudi company that specializes in the sports entertainment sector, offers, along with a modern sports gaming section with a focus on technology and a separate restaurant and bar area.

4Steps, a Saudi entertainment and sports company, is supported by the General Entertainment Authority and the Ministry of Investment as it starts its first project with Game On Riyadh. Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030, 4Steps successfully brought the Belgian Battle Kart brand, renowned for its 26 branches in Europe, to Saudi Arabia through a strategic partnership, intending to establish branches in multiple cities.

BattleKart, a pioneering real-life kart racer merging video games and virtual reality, introduces games like BattleSnake and BattleFoot. This creative product fits well with the vibrant video game culture that is common in Saudi Arabia, where almost eighty percent of the population are avid gamers.

Adrian Lacroix, the trade and investment counselor at the Belgian Embassy, hails the move as a strategic endeavor in light of Saudi Arabia's profound affinity for gaming. Recognizing the immense potential, Lacroix sees the venture as not only catering to the prevalent gaming culture but also fostering investment ties between Saudi Arabia and Belgium. In a bid to further strengthen business relations, a trade mission is organized in Riyadh, featuring a business delegation from Belgium and Luxembourg focused on tech companies, with agreements expected to be formalized during LEAP.
