Jeddah is set to host a groundbreaking festival that holds great significance for Saudi Arabia, as it celebrates the rich musical heritage of the Kingdom. The Ministry of Culture is the driving force behind this remarkable event, known as the Kingdom’s Melody, which is scheduled to take place in the Jeddah Superdome from September 28 to 30.

According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, this festival will serve as a platform to illuminate the historical journey of melodies and their deep-rooted cultural ties within local communities. The festival aims to honor the impactful contributions of some of Saudi Arabia's most influential composers, with notable figures like Omar Kedder, Fawzi Mahsoun, Saleh Al-Shehri, Mohammed Shafiq, Tarek Abdul Hakim, Talal Bagher, and Dr. Abdul Rib Idris receiving well-deserved recognition.

The festival offers an engaging educational journey, taking visitors through the history of the nation's music. The entrance hall of the festival venue will be adorned with murals depicting pioneering composers and artists. An engaging exhibition will chronicle the transformative narratives, captivating melodies, and pivotal moments that have shaped the music industry within the Kingdom.

A highlight of the festival is the "Send Peace" event, a unique opportunity for visitors to offer their insights on important musical compositions. Saudi performer Mohammed Abdu will take to the stage on the festival's opening night and perform songs written by Kedder and Idris.

On the festival's second night, Abdul Majeed Abdullah will perform songs by Mahsoun and Al-Shehri. The grand finale will feature Ebadi Al-Jawhar presenting Bagher's compositions.
