Lyna Khoudri Is Actively Endorsing Her Latest Movie On Disney+

An actress of French Algerian heritage named Lyna Khoudri has used social media to advertise her most recent movie, "Une Zone Défendre" or "A Place to Fight For." The film, a French romantic thriller, is now available on Disney+ and marks Disney+'s first original French production. It was written and directed by Romain Cogitore and stars François Civil alongside Khoudri. Following its world premiere in Madrid, Spain, on June 8, the film was released on the streaming platform just last week.

The plot centers around Greg, an undercover police lieutenant infiltrating an eco-activist movement defending a forest from a dam project. He falls in love with Myriam, an environmental activist. Months later, when Greg returns for a new mission, he learns that Myriam has had their child.

Recently, Khoudri made an appearance in Paris, attending the Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2023-2024 show as part of Paris Haute Couture Week. Since 2022, she has served as a Chanel ambassador. Before that, she was involved in the International Biarritz Film Festival, where she participated in the closing ceremony with Francesca Scorsese and Camila Morrone.

Khoudri gained recognition for her role as Nedjma in Mounia Meddour's highly acclaimed drama "Papicha." Her performance earned her the Orizzonti Award for Best Actress at the 74th Venice Film Festival, as well as a nomination in the most promising actress category at the Cesar Awards. She has also appeared in the 2019 miniseries "Les Sauvages" and the 2016 series "Blood on the Docks."

In particular, Khoudri was cast in Wes Anderson's 2021 comedy "The French Dispatch," sharing the screen with renowned Hollywood actors such as Timothee Chalamet, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, and Owen Wilson. In 2023, she received a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category at the 48th Cesar Awards, often referred to as the French equivalent of the Oscars. This recognition came for her role in Cedric Jimenez's film "Novembre," which depicts the terrorist attacks that occurred in Paris on November 13, 2015. In the movie, Khoudri portrays Samia, a compassionate young woman volunteering at a homeless camp, whose flat mate is secretly funding her cousin, one of the terrorists.
