ATHR Gallery In Jeddah Unveils The Second Installment Of The Collectors' Circle

The second ATHR Collectors' Circle for 2023 is now open to the public in Jeddah, showcasing limited edition artworks created by renowned artists from the region. Spanning a vast area, this exhibition presents an interesting collection that will captivate both art collectors and enthusiasts. The artworks are strategically placed amidst the permanent collection, guiding visitors on a trail throughout the exhibition center.

Notable artists participating in this event include Sara Abdu, Ahmed Mater, Sarah Abuabdallah, Ahaad Al-Amoudi, Mohammed Al-Faraj, Reem Al-Nasser, Dana Awartani, and Ayman Yosri Daydban, in addition to others. The ACC strives to promote works that have been shown at major institutions and foster a culture of art patronage within the Saudi art scene.

Curated by Solafa Rawas and Ola bin Saqran, the current exhibition will continue until July 31. Rawas, an art advisor specializing in Saudi contemporary art, expressed that the ACC aims to initiate meaningful conversations while also serving as an educational platform for the younger generation. The exhibition brings together highly esteemed artists who have showcased their work both locally and internationally.

The exhibition features rare mixed-media pieces crafted by prominent local and international creatives within the contemporary art scene. For instance, Sultan bin Fahad's "Delights I, 2023" is an artwork created on a hand-knotted silk and wool carpet, while Al-Amoudi's "My Hopes and Your Dreams, 2021" is a video installation featuring action figures. Farah Behbehani's "And Make Me Light, 2023" utilizes OCE print together with silver wax and diamond dust. The displayed artworks encompass various mediums, such as graphite drawing on wood, tomato seeds in resin, and collages, showcasing the diverse artistic talent on offer.

In addition to exhibitions, the ACC hosts a range of, events and seminars, providing art lovers with opportunities to connect and engage with creators, industry experts, and international collectors who can offer insights into navigating the art market and advice on art patronage. The exhibition will also feature an accompanying program that explores different aspects of art collection and patronage.
