Versace's Cruise Show With Dua Lipa Features Model Loli Bahia In Cannes

Loli Bahia, a French Algerian model, took the spotlight at the Cannes cruise show of renowned Italian fashion label Versace. The collection, titled "La Vacanza," was a collaboration between Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace and British-Albanian singer Dua Lipa, who co-designed the pieces.

To kick off the show, Bahia graced the runway in a striking pink power suit, consisting of a blazer adorned with gold buttons and a pencil skirt. Walking alongside her were prominent figures like British actress and model Iris Law, Lila Moss (the daughter of British model Kate Moss), American actress Amelia Gray, and fashion show icon Irina Shayk, who flaunted a low-cut draped back dress.

The models showcased their elegant attires on an acrylic runway suspended over a pool with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. Their ensembles harmonized with the show's water-blue backdrop, featuring delicate pastel shades.

"La Vacanza" drew inspiration from various decades. The models sported bold, voluminous bouffant hairstyles reminiscent of the 1960s, while butterflies added a touch of nostalgia for 1990s fashion.

The collection encompassed a range of summer-ready outfits, including miniskirts, tank tops, bathrobe jackets, button-down shirts, shorts, and bucket hats. The models added metallic purses and cowboy boots as finishing touches to their ensembles.

Dua Lipa expressed her excitement on Instagram, addressing her 88 million followers and sharing images from the campaign. “LA VACANZA — a co-designed collection by yours truly and @donatella_versace, “OUT NOW EVERYWHERE! WHAT A DREAM.” Donatella Versace responded with enthusiasm, celebrating the successful collaboration.

Loli Bahia had previously collaborated with Versace. She previously appeared in a campaign for the brand at Milan Fashion Week, sharing the runway with Bella and Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, and Nora Attal, all of whom are part-Arab models. On that occasion, Bahia wore a hot-pink dress complemented by a short bridal veil.

Having made her runway debut at Louis Vuitton's fall 2021 show, Bahia, who is represented by Women Management Paris, later starred in the luxury house's fall 2021 advertising campaign. Her career continues to flourish as she graces the runways of prestigious fashion events.
