Singer Elyanna Wears Arab Designer Rafik Zaki On Coachella Stage

Elyanna, a Palestinian and Chilean singer, made history by being the first performer to entirely perform in Arabic at Coachella in California. She also made history by performing at the event as the first Palestinian artist. At the two weekend event, Elyanna gave her second set while dressed in an outfit created by Egyptian fashion designer Rafik Zaki.

Coachella is a well-known music festival that takes place every year in Indio, California. Elyanna, who is known for her songs “Ghareeb Alay,” “Ala Bali” and “Ana Lahale” with Canadian Lebanese singer Massari, expressed her excitement about performing Arabic music and incorporating elements of her culture at the festival. The Los Angeles-based singer views Coachella as a chance to share more of her culture with a wider audience. She also considers Coachella to be the biggest festival in the world and is proud to represent Arabic singing and the tabla.

Elyanna is currently focused on recording new music for her fans. She is working on an album that she is very enthusiastic about, as it reflects her true self. Her music is a fusion of Arabic and Western beats, influenced by her multicultural upbringing.

Elyanna began singing at a young age in Nazareth before relocating to the United States at 15. Her career began when she was discovered by Nasri Atweh, a producer and musician also of Palestinian descent. She later met Sal, Canadian-Lebanese businessman Wassim Slaiby, who is also the manager of Canadian superstar The Weeknd, and impressed him by singing "At Last" for him. She later collaborated with Massari to create "Ana Lahale," a significant milestone in her career.

According to Elyanna, being true to oneself is the most challenging aspect of her career, but also the most enjoyable. She believes that there are no rules when it comes to being oneself, and she strives to reveal her truest self through her music.
