Arab Models Dominate Milan Fashion Week

Arab models, celebrities, and influencers have shone during Milan Fashion Week with their cutting-edge looks on the runways and in the front rows.

With appearances in New York, London, and now Milan, Loli Bahia and Imaan Hammam have been travelling from one fashion week to the next. Up to February 27th, there will be 59 catwalk presentations throughout fashion week, including ones by Giorgio Armani, Prada, Bottega Veneta, and Moschino.

Loli Bahia wore a bright oversized yellow knit sweater with matching-colored joggers and a large fluffy bag.

The Fendi show, which opened Milan Fashion Week on Wednesday, included Bahia, a model of French Algerian descent. Bahia appeared in a translucent grey dress for Fendi, which part-Palestinian supermodel Bella Hadid opened, and paired with an elbow-length pair of gloves and a furry handbag. The model also wore a pink straight-cut dress from the Italian luxury brand's Autumn/Winter 2023–2024 collection, accessorized with a red handbag and brown boots.

Kuwaiti influencer Fatima Almomen attended the show and posted pictures on Instagram.

Bahia debuted the Etro collection on the runway by donning a knit dress in shades of grey and blue with a matching shawl across her breast. The outfit was finished off with white purse and thigh-high boots.

Hammam, who is of Dutch, Egyptian, and Moroccan ancestry, wore a look that was somewhat reminiscent of Bahia's but in a different color palette. She was dressed in a beige knit dress with knee-length fringe, a brown and beige shawl over her shoulders, a black bag, and black knee-high boots.

The catwalk sensation and newcomer Bahia also walked the catwalk for well-known luxury brands including Max Mara, and Prada. The 19-year-old model strutted down the catwalk of the Italian fashion brand with the Hadid sisters, Bella and Gigi. She appeared at the Max Mara show with a vivid, enormous yellow knit sweater, matching colored joggers, and a big, fluffy bag.

Bella wore a brown skirt paired with a sleek knit top and Gigi wore an eye-catching monochromatic ensemble.

Nora Attal was another Arab beauty to walk the Max Mara runway. The British-Moroccan actress promoted a beige dress with patterned geometric designs.

Bahia wore an oversized, knee-length coat with green feathers on the sleeves for the Prada runway.

The Italian label's collection included embroidered coats and transparent vest-like dresses, and it was presented as a collection that looked at "the history of women."
