Saudi Researchers Receive ALESCO Hamdan Award for Education

At its 25th session in Tunis, researchers from Saudi Arabia and Yemen took home the Hamdan Award for Distinguished Educational Research.

Four research articles were honored in 2022, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization.

Ali bin Hassan Shawkan Najmi is the author of the top-ranked research paper, according to a statement from ALECSO's headquarters in Tunis. The essay's title is: “The effect of using flipped classes based on game stimuli in developing organized learning skills, self-sufficiency and educational resilience among third-intermediate students in the English language course.”

Mohammed bin Ali Al-Kherezi completed yet another outstanding piece of study for Saudi Arabia. The essay's title: “A proposed normative framework for developing performance indicators in secondary schools in the Kingdom.”

Maryam Yahya Mohammed Atif, a Saudi researcher, wrote the third study article: “Awareness of cybersecurity and its relationship to digital transformation among male and female supervisors of the education administration in the Jazan region.”

Khaled Hassan Ali Al-Hariri of Yemen earned a prize for his study, “A proposed vision for employing digital media for Arab universities in spreading and consolidating the values of coexistence and tolerance among university youth.”

In order to support the efforts of governments and organizations in the Arab world that are focused at enhancing education, ALECSO Director-General Mohammed Walad Amar underlined the necessity for research to contribute to educational decision-making. According to Amar, the ALECSO Hamdan Award has been successful in identifying effective research methods in the field of education in the Arab world, which would create development prospects and enhance education in the region.

The Arab League oversees ALECSO, a specialized organization with its headquarters in Tunis. It was founded with the intention of fostering Arab intellectual unification and advancing Arab education, culture, and science.
