Meet The Iraqi Blogger Who Is Collaborating With Chanel

Deema Al-Asadi, a prominent figure in Iraqi social media, posted her first "milestone" of 2023 on Instagram this week.

The Instagram influencer, who has over a million followers, disclosed that she participated in a photoshoot with French high-end fashion brand Chanel.

To her fans, she wrote, “My first post for 2023 had to be special. A milestone in my fashion career posing for my favorite fashion house Chanel.”

The Dubai-based celebrity wore a windowpane ensemble that included a miniskirt and jacket in the black-and-white photo she published. Al-Asadi paired her outfit with matching thick Chanel bracelets, a pearl choker with a bow and another necklace with the company's renowned insignia. The fashionable mother-of-one finished the look with Chanel brooches.

Al-Asadi posted previous footage of herself opening the box containing the framed photos the company's staff had sent her in December on her Stories. The photos were wrapped in white and tied with a ribbon with the iconic logo of the maison in black. As she opened the black-and-white picture frames, she was heard stating she’s really excited and loved the gift. She captioned it with "a dream coming true" and expressed her happiness and gratitude for the wonderful chance.

Farhana Bodi, an actress from "Dubai Bling," Iraqi influencer and businesswoman Mina Al-Sheikhly, and Egyptian actress Enjy Kiwan were just a few of Al-Asadi's social media friends to congratulate the blogger on her latest brand partnership.

Al-Asadi made her catwalk debut in February 2022 during Milan Fashion Week for the Italian brand Elisabetta Franchi. She wore a cropped jacket over a sequined, black dress with a plunging neckline. She used Instagram to share her experience with her followers after the event.

Nora Attal, a British-Moroccan model who has appeared in several Chanel campaigns over the years, was chosen last month to front the brand's Christmas advertising campaign.
