Saudi Fashion Commission Launches New Costume Program

Saudi Arabia's Fashion Commission announced that it is now taking applications for its Jeddah-based training program in costume design, as reported by Saudi Press Agency.

15 Saudi fashion designers will be trained as part of the initiative, which will run from January to March, to design costumes for films and stage performances. It aims to equip participants with practical, technical, and technological abilities for researching, designing, and making costumes for film and stage, as well as historical and cultural knowledge.

Additionally, the course offers training courses on a range of subjects, such as the background of Saudi clothing, textiles, and accessories.

By the completion of the program, students will be able to build show costumes according to style, historical era, and environment, and choose the proper materials and techniques for their production.
