The Giving Movement Opens Its Doors In Mall Of The Emirates

The region’s sustainable athleisure brand born in the UAE to open its first physical and flagship store this month

The Giving Movement’s first brick-and-mortar store is finally opening its doors this month at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates. With high anticipation, the sustainable homegrown label now unveils its flagship store with a collection of new season palettes, the bestsellers, and newly dropped collections – just in time for a season of travel and gifting.

The label that launched in 2020 during the pandemic has challenged every form of status quo in the industry, from championing conscious consumerism to its charity-built business model. With this new platform, the brand is opening up the space to meet the community in person, translating its ethos into a store that takes the visitor through a journey of various sustainable fabrics – both organic and recycled – via its record-breaking collections. T.ZED Architects were commissioned to bring this vision to life and creating a processional multi-faceted experience. The layering of materiality and textures used by the firm for the store all fall into the background, leaving room for the injection of exciting new colours to take center stage.

“The interactive space is regional, textured yet refined, contextual yet interpretive… and reminds its visitors that The Giving Movement is all about giving back, and looking fresh while doing it,” says Tarik Al Zaharna, Founder and Director of T.ZED Architects. “Materiality is linked to the brand… it’s simply tech-focused, yet robust and timeless. The choice of concrete finishes, rough and textured materials as metallics, glass blocks, perforated metal meshes, and illuminated polycarbonate resonate well with the brand’s expressions, identity, and vision,” he adds.

“Given our remarkable growth over the last few years, TGM is delighted to be opening it’s first Flagship Store in Mall of the Emirates this weekend. Our evolution from online to omnichannel is one we have been planning for a long time and I’m sure customers will be delighted with the products, service and over all world class customer experience we have waiting for them in store. This is the first of many stores we are planning to roll out across the GCC over the next 18 months,” says Nick Fisher, Chief Operating Officer.

Visitors can expect to shop the latest Fall/ Winter ’22 collection for women, men and kids. It’s a season full of cosmic inspiration and, as for every collection, fabrics manufactured in the UAE. It’s a collection that gives Lounge, Active, Shell, and more bestsellers an otherworldly touch, taking inspiration from outer space via Rust, Bloodstone, Forest Green, and Grey Marl – which takes the brand into a luxurious direction this season. The doors are opening just as the weather cools down and the holidays are around the corner – marking it as the perfect destination for family gifts, hoodie and sweats sets, outdoor essentials, and more.

Customers can also shop the latest drop of the season which comes in the form of faux leather: the Pleather collection. Its ultra-soft PLEATHER© fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester, featuring a women’s and men’s line, both including bomber jackets and trench coats. In shades that live and breathe autumnal hues, its must-haves stand out with cut-out blazers, trendy oversized button-down shirts, cropped corset blazers, midi dresses and skirts, and flared trousers that will ensure an elevated seasonal style.

The Dubai-based brand doesn’t shy away from an introduction of new first-ever collections, pairing the new Pleather range with the Seamless collection designed to contour the body, and a Plisse collection with an elevated touch – all with new exclusive fabrics made to serve their purpose. This is a continuation from the exclusive FIFTYMADE© collection of luxury lines, kickstarted with a footwear range made from bio-based sugarcane material and welcoming the brand’s first collection of slides for the entire family.
