The brilliant minds of Cartier have been fusing the ordinary with the spectacular for decades by frequently finding inspiration in some of the littlest things. Cartier has often demonstrated that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder thanks to its imaginative vision and insatiable drive to explore the unanticipated.
The modest coffee bean is the focal point of Cartier's newest "Grain de Café" line, which is known for drawing inspiration from nature's endless language. The latest figurative collection from Cartier is called "Grain de Café," and it represents the flexibility to go beyond literal creative execution and create a multi-sensory architecture, according to Marie-Laure Cérède, Jewelry and Watchmaking Creative Director at Cartier.
Although a coffee bean might seem like a strange theme for a high-end jeweler, Cartier has previously used the bean. Under the Creative Direction of Jeanne Toussaint, the coffee bean motif first debuted in 1938. Despite its tiny size, the bean was quite popular with Cartier's clients, especially in the 1950s and 1960s.
The Cartier "Grain de Café" series takes the sturdy, broad, spherical shape of the coffee bean and turns it into luxurious golden jewellery. The intricately arranged rings, bracelets, and necklaces have a crown-like appearance thanks to the positioning of the priceless coffee beans studded with diamonds on a gold chain with two colors. A variant with obsidian alternating with gold and studded with diamonds is also offered, as is an elegant version in rose gold with a ring and a necklace.
The motif's form and motion as it wrapped around the gold chains were fine-tuned by the expert hands at Cartier's facilities. Cartier's stunning coffee beans, which play with different sizes and compositions, are made of gold, embellished with diamonds or colourful stones, and occasionally even half-paved.
The collection is available exclusively in Cartier Boutique at The Dubai Mall, Grand Atrium.
