Saudi Arabia Grants 700 New Licenses For Female Lawyers

There are now 2,100 licensed female lawyers in the Kingdom as a result of the Ministry of Justice issuing 700 additional licenses.

According to Saudi Gazette, the ministry claimed to have made a number of electronic services available to lawyers and trainees via the Najiz site, allowing them to access them without going to the ministry's main offices or the general administration of the Law Firm.

The ministry noted that the services offered to male and female lawyers through the Najiz portal are part of its efforts to support lawyers, provide the beneficiaries with convenience, and help them save time and effort.

It offered services for "Application for a Lawyer's License," "Request for Renewal of a Lawyer's License," and "Registration of a New Trainee Lawyer," which allows a trainee lawyer to apply for inclusion in the register of trainee lawyers and to electronically obtain a "Identification Certificate for the Trainee Lawyer."

The "transfer of a trainee lawyer to another" service offered by the Najiz portal enables the trainee attorney to seek a transfer from one attorney to another attorney and acquire a cutting-edge, electronic "identity certificate for the trainee attorney."
