“And Just Like That” Will Return With A Second Season

Following the success of the first season of “And Just Like That,” the highly anticipated sequel to the infamous hit show, “Sex & The City,” is confirmed to be returning for a second season.

When the show first aired, Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda (minus Samantha), were now seen in their 50’s, grappling with the modern world, fashion, relationships, moving house, a hip replacement, children, sexuality, and the grief experienced after loss – did we miss anything out?

Where we will be seeing much of the same cast from “And Just Like That” season 1, including original main characters, Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte), for season two, it has also been confirmed that Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, Karen Pittman as Dr Nya Wallace and Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz, will also be re-starring in season 2.

Story lines surrounding Miranda and Charlotte’s family relationships will also see the return of Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Cathy Ang as Lily and Alexa Swinton as Rock, as well as David Eigenberg’s Steve Brady and Niall Cunningham’s Brady Hobbes.

At the end of season 1, we saw Carrie potentially finding love again as she smooched her handsome podcast producer, Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez), who may well be returning as her beau. Hernandez neither claimed knowledge of nor denied himself being cast for the second season as he told a publication in February 2022, “I know nothing about next season, “I think those things are still being worked out. I had a wonderful time playing the character, so I wouldn’t mind coming back and exploring it, if that’s what they decide to do.”

As die hard “Sex & The City” fans would have been over the moon to see the return of Samantha Jones in “And Just Like That,” Kim Cattrall, who had played Jones, publicly spoke about a dispute between herself and Sarah Jessica Parker and about how she no longer wanted to star in anything related to “Sex & The City.” In “And Just Like That,” Jones is alive and well and communicates with Carrie from overseas just via text message. While there is no expectation for Kim Cattrall to come back to the set, we’re saying “never say never…”

For now, we’re looking forward to seeing what happened next after the 1st season of “And Just Like That,” and all of the fashion of course!
