Emirati Designer Yasmin Al Mulla Has A Year-Long Collaboration With Shiseido

Beauty and fashion lovers are finding this a match made in heaven.

Yasmin Al Mulla is collaborating with Shiseido Middle East throughout the year. The strategic long-term partnership aims to boost the position of Future Solution LX, the brand’s ultra-luxurious skincare collection, in the region. The Emirati fashion designer got off to a flying start when she co-created a beautiful 2022 diary at the beginning of the year. More recently, she hosted a stunning Suhoor to toast the collaboration and designed a pair of head-turning pearl earrings for a new launch. And we simply can’t wait to see which Khaleeji-inspired creation is next from the UAE’s leading tastemaker.

Al Mulla and Shiseido, renowned for its top-quality brightening, anti-aging skincare, make-up and fragrance products, began teaming up in January 2022. They celebrated the New Year and Shiseido's 150th anniversary by creating an elegant 2022 journal, inspired by the key elements of SFSLX packaging. The artistic collaboration with a twist highlighted the Future Solution LX key product, the “Legendary Serum.”

Al Mulla, who Co-Founded· her ready-to-wear contemporary label YNM in September 2014, said the joint effort was an ode to influential women. They are the ones who have shaped the course of others’ lives with their brainpower, style, might, elegance and passion, she explained.

“The goal is to connect the heritage and beauty of the brand with this region and community. The legacy of Shisedo’s 150th anniversary is merged with the beauty of my journey through the legacies of my community, visualised by the 150 iconic Shiseido leaves, recalibrated to incorporate a Khaleeji rug with a modern twist,’’’ Al Mulla, who is certified by the London College of Fashion and recognised by the Dubai Design & Fashion Council, said.

During the month of Ramadan, Al Mulla also focused on adding a Khaleeji touch while working with the brand that aims to enhance the natural beauty of the skin. She created timeless pearl earrings to coincide with the launch of the new Future Solution Infinite treatment primer. The earrings were inspired by the main ingredient of the Future Solution LX New Infinite Primer, the pearl, so were naturally made with authentic Japanese pearls. The earrings, gifted in a bespoke box alongside the primer and Future Solution LX Total Protective cream, made a beautiful gift for her Suhoor attendees. The Suhoor, which was held in Dubai’s La Ville boutique hotel, was the perfect way to celebrate the partnership.

“I am delighted to yet again incorporate the Khaleeji twist to a brand and product line that is so close to my heart,’’ said Al Mulla, who has also partnered with Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, Matchesfashion, and Ex Nihilo.
