A label much loved globally, but one celebrated by its Middle Eastern clientele, French fashion maison, Louis Vuitton, has just unveiled its first ever Ramadan capsule. In the past, the luxury brand’s Ramadan capsules often consisted of just bags and shoes as well as other leather goods, but this time there is clothing and fragrance.
The Ramadan collection features an emerald green, a color also associated with Islam, and the theme of “love, peace and prosperity,” to celebrate and reflect the significance of Ramadan – particularly in the Middle East.
On the ready-to-wear front, it is a melee of polka dots and the classic summer fabric, broderie anglais, starring modest silhouettes such as monochromatic midi skirts, embroidered blouses and a polka dot pyjama set in a number of color ways.
The collection wouldn’t be complete without some of Louis Vuitton’s bags of the moment, including the Coussin PM, in an emerald green as a Ramadan special, the Alma BB, Capucine Mini, Dauphine Mini and the Petite Malle – each one reworked with green and black elements.
\The green is also apparent in the footwear for Ramadan across styles including slingback pumps, mules and ankle boots across a variety of heel heights.
To top it all off, the Ramadan collection also sees the release of Louis Vuitton’s latest fragrance, ‘Fleur du Desert,’ which is a tribute to the Middle East.
The new Ramadan capsule collection is now available online and at Louis Vuitton stores across the region.
