Saudis looking for a new staycation hotspot or meeting venue will soon be able to enjoy staying at the Kempinski Hotel & Resort Yanbu, in western Saudi Arabia. With direct beachfront access, the five-star resort on Al Maher Island is set to be a private enclave of tranquility that offers what discerning guests are looking for these days, exclusivity. The sprawling complex, situated only 20 minutes away from Yanbu International Airport, is being renovated and repositioned and will open later this year.

In keeping with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the property will cater to all kinds of travellers. Couples and families from the cities of Jeddah or Al Madinah or futher afield will find community club-like experiences at the hotel, which is sure to become a favoured pick for leisure guests. From the infinity pool, fitness centre and private beach to enjoyable excursions at sea or the diving school, there are plenty of ways leisure guests can enjoy their vacation. Additionally, there are extensive spa facilities, including a separate and exclusive 3000 sq m Ladies’ Spa with its secluded beach, steam baths, hammam, treatment rooms, restaurant and tea lounge. A future prestigious Royal Villa is also in the works.

The Kempinski Hotel & Resort Yanbu will also be a go-to for conducting business. Business guests will be able to benefit from the spacious meeting and conference spaces, which are also particularly suitable for stylish weddings.

The building plan includes a reduction in the number of deluxe rooms, resulting in 23 spacious additional suites, perfectly complementing the 12 architecturally designed villas and 48 designer apartments. And five high-quality restaurants and lounges will offer top-notch culinary experiences with Kempinski bringing its world-renowned food and beverage knowledge and award-winning chefs to Yanbu.

“We are looking forward to creating an exclusive enclave with impeccable style and high-quality services to meet the demand of today’s hotel guests who come with ever increasing expectations," Osama Al-Mutabagani, owner Al Jazeerah Hotels & Resorts, which has a management agreement with Kempinski, said. “Together with our partner Kempinski Hotels, one of the world’s best luxury hotel operators, we will assure to redefine hospitality in Western Saudi Arabia by revamping this destination for perfect getaways through finest architecture and contemporary design.“

Things To Do In Yanbu
As well as all the activities available at the hotel, guests will be able to enjoy a trip to Yanbu, which has a lot to offer. While in the old town, an important post on the spice route, guests can visit a typical Hijazi building where the famous British military officer T.E. Lawrence lived. Additionally, the night market Souk Al Lail is the perfect spot for a stroll in the late evening.

And Yanbu Lake, one of the largest artificial lakes in the country, is a botanical paradise that enchants with flora from all over the world. The coral-rich bay of Sharm Yanbu is where divers get to check out all the colourful underwater marvels, while in the north-east of the city, Mount Radwa rises to 2,200 metres. In fact, Mount Radwa, known for honey and wild nature, is the highest point of the Al-Nakhil Mountains.
