Kim Kardashian Rocks As A Balenciaga Campaign Star

Kim K serves some trés cool and signature ready-to-wear styles as one of the faces of the brand’s latest campaign.

With Kim Kardashian making sure Balmain takes centrestage while stepping out for the past year or so, it doesn’t come as a surprise she has landed her first campaign with the Paris-based maison. In the spring campaign, the SKIMS founder is joined by award-winning French actress Isabelle Huppert and Justin Bieber, who both starred in the brand’s autumn advertising, as well as models Tommy Blue and Marie-Agnès Diene. And the images are set to be mounted on famous façades worldwide, starting with Paris’s Théâtre de la Ville.

The campaign, shot by Stef Mitchell, is an intimate one that takes us into the homes of “friends of the brand.” And Kardashian, who can only be described as a mogul after her shapewear label has doubled its valuation to $3.2 billion after raising $240 million in fresh funds, appears in her famously minimalist Calabasas home. The 41-year-old models three different looks by the luxury label’s designer Demna, formerly known as Demna Gvasalia.

In one image, Kardashian poses for a selfie (naturally) while lounging on the couch wearing a black skin-tight look featuring a fitted top and athletic cut leggings. For footwear, she dons high-heeled black sock booties, while she adds a pop of colour with her arm candy, a standout neon green monogrammed version of the coveted “Le Cagole” shoulder bag in calfskin. The Armenian-American style star is also seen in a ready to rock look, wearing a statement furry leopard-print “Hourglass” coat, the same “Le Cagole” bag in black and matching pointed-toe “Le Cagole” boots, adorned by several buckles. Meanwhile, for the third image, Kardashian also looks ready to head out in a “Hourglass” coat, however this time it’s a plain black rendition, and black pointed-toe pantaleggings with a knife heel. For accessories, she opts for a mini white crocodile top handle “Hourglass” bag and black sporty-chic “Bat” sunnies.

With Balenciaga featuring Kardashian on an almost empty Instagram feed and the mother-of-four wearing endless looks from Balenciaga, the love between the label and Kardashian is real. She has been showing an affinity for everything Balenciaga, founded by Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga, during some very important life events. She wore the label’s haute couture autumn 2021 bridal gown while hitting the stage at ex Ye’s “Donda” event. As she hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the first time and celebrated passing the ‘baby bar” exam, she also turned to Balenciaga. Plus, of course, who can forget her walking the red carpet in that faceless blacked-out outfit during the 2021 Met Gala?
