Gigi Hadid Is Making Her Netflix Debut On ‘Next In Fashion’

Hadid will be co-hosting with good friend Tan France…

As one of the most in-demand and highest paid models, Gigi Hadid certainly knows a thing or two about fashion. Well, the half-Palestinian beauty is now bringing her expertise in the field to our screens as she joins Tan France as co-host of season 2 of Netflix’s “Next In Fashion.” Her stint on the fashion reality show will see her taking the reins from British TV presenter and fashion designer Alexa Chung.

Hadid, 26, took to Twitter to retweet the major news Netflix recently broke out.

““Next In Fashion” is coming back – and this season @TanFrance’s co-host will be the iconic @GIGIHadid!” the message confirmed. Hadid, who has a one-year-old daughter called Khai, also expressed her excitement with a personal aside.

The supermodel, who stars in the latest Versace campaign with her sister, Bella, and the brand’s Creative Director, Donatella Versace, also shared France’s Instagram post. The British-Pakistani star, best known for his work as a stylist on Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” welcomed Hadid’s move to television, saying:

“Who would have thought when we met over Facetime four years ago (thanks, Eva Chen [Instagram’s Director of Fashion Partnerships] that we’d be hosting “Next In Fashion” together! You read that right! The secret’s out. You better get ready.”

The series features fashion designers who create a weekly range of collections, usually with a certain theme in mind, and then showcase them at a fashion show watched by a group of top industry judges. The show’s official synopsis reads: “18 budding fashion designers compete for a $250,000 prize and the opportunity to launch a clothing line with Net-a-Porter.”

Minju Kim won the first season, which came out in January 2020, and went on to launch her latest collection with Net-a-Porter in December 2021. The Korean designer, who has also worked on a collab with & Other Stories, will be showcasing via a pop-up during New York Fashion Week.
