This Multi-Sensory Group Exhibition Will Cheer You Up Once Those January Blues Hit

The immersive “The Sublime Nature of Being" exhibition is the best way for culture vultures to kickstart the New Year….

Dubai’s art enthusiasts who get a thrill out of going on one-of-a-kind journeys with a contemplative dimension need to mark their calendars for “The Sublime Nature of Being” exhibition. With the immersive experience bringing together 10 award-winning, internationally renowned artists under one roof to showcase their mixed media, it’s sure to be a memorable expo. Opening on January 23, 2022 at the Summer Garden, ICD Brookfield Place in the emirates’ International Financial Center, highlights to look forward to include three-dimensional installations, sound and scent, a play on time and space, contrasts of light and shadow, elemental materials and fluid forms.


Ambika Hinduja

“The Sublime Nature of Being” is curated and produced by Ambika Hinduja Macker, artist, founder and creative director of Impeccable Imagination, a contemporary art and design firm based in Dubai and Mumbai. Ambika is guided by the philosophy of “discovering beauty in simplicity" and renowned for curating ethereal environments and multi-sensory experiences. The Mumbai-born creative’s special experiences conjure up the divine purity of the natural world in resonance with flora, fauna and the elements.

“I am very excited to launch my first public exhibition in Dubai, the city I now call home. I look forward for the audience to step into the space and be transported into a utopian sanctuary of tranquility and beauty,” Ambika, who won an Excellence Award in 2019 at the AD100, said. “I am continuously inspired by the exquisite quality and inventiveness showcased in this dynamic city. It attracts such a diverse and cosmopolitan audience from all over the world, art collectors and art lovers in particular, hence it is an honour to create and curate in Dubai.”

Ambika, who studied at the London International Film School and New York’s Parsons The New School, represents esteemed conceptual and visual artists. And their works have been shown in venerable institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Victoria and Albert Museum, The British Museum and Centre Pompidou to name a few.
