Meet The Race Ambassador of The Saudi Grand Prix 2021

Saudi Arabia’s Reema Juffali is renowned as the Kingdom’s first female racer to blaze trails on the tracks ever since her debut in 2018. This week, this icon that has inspired women and men across the nation and beyond has set another milestone in her career by becoming a race ambassador at the inaugural event of the Saudi Grand Prix, an announcement that was made by the organizers this week.

"It is an incredible honor for me to be named as an ambassador for Saudi Motorsport for the first ever Formula 1 race weekend in Saudi Arabia," Juffali said in a quote by the Saudi Gazette.

For the Saudi Grand Prix that is set to take place this weekend, Juffali is expected to partake in events in Jeddah, both on and off the tracks. This includes a test lap around the tracks in the iconic Williams FW07 car. This is seen as a great opportunity for Juffali to show off her driving skills, inspiring a new generation of drivers across the Kingdom.

"I also hope that the arrival of F1 in Saudi Arabia will inspire more of the next generation to pursue a career in the sport and continue our country’s racing evolution," Juffali said in a quote by the Saudi Gazette.

The Saudi Grand Prix is expected to run from December 3 - 5, and will take place on what's perhaps one of the fastest Formula 1 (F1) street circuits in the world with expected average speed of 250km/h. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit measures over 6 kilometers, making it the second longest circuit in the current F1 schedule.

Aside for making history on the tracks once again this upcoming weekend, the Jeddah-born racer is also known for having competed in the Formula 4 (F4) category, which includes the F4 British Championship in 2019, and F4 UAE the following year. In addition, she also took part in the all-electric 2019-20 Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy as a VIP racer.
