Lady Gaga Dons Lebanese Designer To Launch Her Latest Beauty Product

Haus Laboratories by Lady Gaga is the popstar’s very own line of cosmetics, and for her latest beauty launch, she took to social media to unveil the new product wearing a Lebanese designer.

The “Paparazzi” and “Video Call” singer shared a video announcing the release of the Italian Glam Highlighter Brush from the aptly titled the Casa Gaga Italian Glam Collection, following her role in the House of Gucci film. She wore a black off-the-shoulder Lama Jouni design with long sleeves, which was adorned with solitaire earrings and a statement cocktail ring.

Lama Jouni founded her self-named brand in Paris in 2013, where she had first moved in 2007 to follow her dreams of establishing a career within the fashion industry. She studied at Parsons Paris, after which she worked and cut her teeth at some of the world’s most renowned fashion houses, including Balmain, Reed Krakoff and Rad Hourani.

The likes of Italian social media influencer, Valentina Ferragni, Egyptian actress Nelly Karim and Lebanese personality, Dana Hourani, and other have worn the designs of Jouni.

No stranger to Middle Eastern fashion designers, Lady Gaga has been spotted several times wearing Arab designers on the Hollywood red carpet including Saudi-led label Ashi Studio and Emirati label, Khyeli. Moreover, this year the “A Star Is Born” actress made headlines when she was seen wearing a crystal-embellished dress by Lebanese couturier Georges Hobeika and remains a big fan of late Tunisian designer, Azzedine Alaia, who she once said was “one of the closest people to” her. In 2015 at the Academy Awards, she wore an Alaia creation which was a custom white, glittering dress, accessorized with red rubber gloves.

Azzedine Alaia passed away in Paris in 2017 and Gaga honored him by wearing one of his creations at the American Music Awards which took place the day after his tragic death
