There’s a new fashion week coming to Dubai…

Joining the ranks of Fashion Forward Dubai, Arab Fashion Week, Middle East Fashion Week, Modest Fashion Week, and Arab Men’s Fashion Week—the inaugural edition of Fashion Week DXB will take off on December 16th 2021. The fashion event is being launched by UAE-based producer Saif Ali Khan and director Kevin Oliver, and will be a three day bonanza focusing on fashions by designers from the Middle East as well as India.

Limited to just showcasing 12 brands, Fashion Week DXB aims to give each of those designers an equal amount of space and time to ensure that their shows gain the traction and interest they hope to achieve. The full list of participating designer has not yet been revealed, but what we do know is that the fashion week will open with an undisclosed Emirati designer, and others who have signed up to showcase their collections include Filipino designer Furne One’s Amato, couture label Atelier Zuhra by Omani designer Rayan Al Sulaimani, and Indian designers Varoin Marwah and Rocky S.

Not only will there be runway shows, but also an outdoor space where particular designers will be exhibiting their collections. Food and entertainment is also said to be available.

The venue for Fashion Week DXB is also yet to be announced. In the meantime, Modest Fashion Week will be taking place from 18th-20th November 2021 at the Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR. The fashion event will feature talks and discussions on sustainability and there are over 40 participating brands.
