Arab Fashion Week will return to its full physical schedule for the women’s spring summer 2022 collections. Taking place from 24-28 October, the fashion fiesta will feature designers from regional spots like the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq and Palestine. International creatives from countries including Philippines, USA, Colombia, Poland, Switzerland and France will also be participating in the exciting event taking over Dubai Design District (d3).
Driven by the Arab Fashion Council and curated by Hu Management, Arab Fashion Week will be highlighting works by designers like Zeena Zaki, Yara Bin Shakar, Amato, Ihab Jiryis and Michael Cinco. Dorota Goldpoint, Gosia Baczynka, Euphoria, Autonomie, Glory Ang, Emergency Room, Michael Leyva, Weinsanto, Blssd, RC Caylan and Poca & Poca are some of the other names that will be helping to cement Dubai’s position as a global destination for design, fashion and talent. Plus, Germanier, Weinsanto and Ester Manas, three designers from Paris Fashion Week, will present their collections as part of the continued partnership between the Arab Fashion Council and The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. And for those who can’t be there physically, all the exciting shows will be broadcast live via Facebook, Inc.
The event will kick off with the Fashion Icon Awards, an exclusive pink carpet gala dinner graced by celebrities, influencers and media. And while Arab Fashion Week is all about in-person engagement this time, top digital experiences will help make it an unforgettable fashion experience. Highlights include special campaigns, including the ‘Catwalk the Walk’ campaign by GoDaddy Inc. featuring Emirati designer Yara bin Shakar, renowned Lebanese photographer Mohamad Seif and fashion buyer and retail expert Zeina El Ladki. Microsoft is also launching a special campaign dedicated to celebrating the new release of Windows 11.
It will feature 11 entrepreneurs and designers from the region, as well as give visitors an opportunity to experience its latest solutions. Meanwhile, Epson will support designers to exceed their vision through their digital innovation technology, including a collaboration with Michael Cinco featuring a unique printed capsule collection.
“Arab Fashion Week-Women’s Spring Summer 2022 powered by the Arab Fashion Council and a line-up of world-class partners is a demonstration of the shared vision and commitment to the principles of equality and progress for creative talents across the region,” Jacob Abrian, Founder and Chief Executive of the Arab Fashion Council, said. “Together with d3, we are positioning Dubai at the epicentre for the fashion industry in the Middle East.”
