The Riyadh International Book Fair Is Happening Soon

Riyadh International Book Fair is set to open on Oct. 1 at Riyadh Front for 10 days. The fair will feature Arab and global publishing houses and this year’s country guest of honor is Iraq. The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission oversees the cultural event and lined up different activities that represent 16 cultural sectors.

According to Arab News, the commission provided a 50 percent discount on space rent to publishing houses around the world as well as dropping shipping costs and establishing an e-store and e-selling points for all publishers.

Saudi Cultural Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan reiterated that the sector’s success and growth is fueled by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Riyadh International Book Fair opens the floor to Saudi creativity and encourages cultural participation and global trade opportunities. Visitors can attend poetry and art readings, discussion panels, interactive activities, and diversified workshops in the fields of art, reading, writing, publishing, book making, and translation.
