Benefit Cosmetics Empowers Women In The UAE

In a bid to support women of the UAE that are facing adversity, Benefit Cosmetics has pledged to donate 100% of its proceeds from its latest campaign, and as part of their “Bold is Beautiful Project,” to the UAE charity, Al Jalila Foundation.

Proceeds from the dedicated Brow Bars in the UAE, and from a special edition tweezer tool, will go to the Dubai based Al Jalila Foundation. The limited edition tweezer tool is a hot pink two in one brow grooming tool that features a bristle spoolie brush on one end and a precision slant tweezer on the other and are perfect for on-the-go brow emergencies.

The cosmetic brand’s Bold is Beautiful global philanthropy project, was first launched in 2015, and then expanded to the Middle East to work with local partners and give back to female-focused support groups, and women and children charities.

Speaking to a local publication, Mehdi Ouni, MEA general manager at Benefit, stated, “We, at Benefit Cosmetics Middle East, are very proud to support our incredible partner here in the UAE for the third year. Al Jalila Foundation and the Brest Friends initiative support education and research around breast cancer, but most importantly, they support women undergoing serious times of adversity. Through the Bold Is Beautiful campaign, we can help them in their mission by raising money.”

The non-profit organization was founded in 2013 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and was named after his daughter Her Highness Sheikha Al Jalila Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Al Jalila Foundation supports medical treatment for at-risk groups, and makes quality healthcare accessible for women and children.

The CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, Dr. Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, also stated, “Community initiatives have the power to unite people towards a common goal and our partnership with Benefit Cosmetics is a great example of how creative initiatives deliver sustainable charitable revenues. 100 percent of the funds raised in the UAE through Benefit’s Bold is Beautiful global philanthropy campaign will support women and girls to live a healthy life full of potential.”
