Vaccination Rates for School & University Students in The Kingdom Reach 61%

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education just revealed that vaccination rate among male and female students of public schools and universities across the Kingdom reached 61 percent while the rate of inoculation among teachers, administrative staff and officials rose to 92 percent.

Accoding to Saudi Gazette, the ministry tweeted that the rate among male and female students of universities "reached 85 percent whereas the rate of immunization among academic and administrative staffers at the universities accounted for 64 percent."

Getting vaccinated is crucial to ensure a safe return to school amidst a pandemic. Students are set to start the academic year on Aug. 29, and the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health (MoH) set out a call to action for students older than 12 years to get inoculated before Aug. 8.

Appointment dates for the first dose for students in the age group of 12 and 18 can be booked through Sehhaty application or Tawakkalna application.
