There’s always something cool happening in Abu Dhabi and one of the UAE capital’s latest feats is its claim to a Guinness World Records™ title. The second most populous emirate has set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the Most Varieties of Ice Cream on Display. A whopping 1,001 flavours were available in the same place for the first time ever during a recent Abu Dhabi Culinary event that took place at Yas Mall's Ice Cream Lab pop-upl.
The record-breaking event happened while Abu Dhabi Culinary, an arm of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, was presenting its destination-wide “Summer of Ice Cream” promotion and the emirates’ all-new seasonal “Abu Dhabi Shopping and Dining Season” campaign.
A result of a delicious collaboration with the UK’s Pan-n-Ice, known to be pioneers of ice cream rolls, the impressive event took ice-cream lovers on a gastronomic journey. Some of the unique creations included coffee and cookie dough and bubble gum and pistachio. Mint Oreo and meringue, matcha and passion fruit, as well as cherry and popping candy were also among the mind-boggling number of choices.
Literally the best warm-weather refresher, ice cream has traditionally helped consumers chill when the temperatures soar in the summer. If the frozen treat is your top pick for summer snacking and you love trying new out there pairings, the great news is The Ice Cream Lab will be there for a while. Just make your way to the pop-up before July 22 so you can sample the unlikely matches to your heart’s content.
