KSA: More Than 50% Received One Dose of the Covid-19 Vaccine

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign is running up to speed in Saudi Arabia with more than 53% of the population receiving at least one dose. Arab News reported that the Saudi Health Ministry has established 587 vaccine centers. According to the report, approximately 18.6 million vaccine doses have been administered to date.

According to Dr. Mohammed Al-Abd Al-Aly, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, the critical numbers could continue to fall with community efforts.Thousands of residents are still being tested and treated at special health clinics set up by the Ministry of Health in response to the pandemic.

Takkad centers and Tetamman clinics have played an important role in tracking the disease's spread and assisting patients with suspected or confirmed cases.

COVID-19 testing is available at Takkad centers for people who have no or mild symptoms or believe they have come into contact with an infected person. Tetamman clinics also treat those suffering from severe symptoms such as fever, loss of taste and smell, and breathing difficulties.

As part of the community effort to slow the spread of the disease, the ministry and other authorities continue to emphasize the importance of maintaining social distance and adhering to all health and safety protocols.
