Kylie Cosmetics Is Finally Going Clean

The rumours are true!

Known for her infamous debut products, the Kylie Lipkit, self-made billionaire Kylie Jenner is reintroducing her latest lip kits – but with the environment in mind. Now taking a conscious approach to beauty, Jenner, who first launched her own line of cosmetics at just 17, has decided to reformulate her entire collection of makeup to be fully clean and vegan. She announced her decision on Instagram as she posted an image of herself applying her new lip kit, with the caption, “@kyliecosmetics website has been shut down for a little makeover,” and that she “felt it was time to elevate.”

Following her social media post, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star received messages of support from her sisters as Kourtney Kardashian commented, “Vegan and clean now you’re talking my language,” and Khloe simply saying, “Proud of you.”

Kylie Cosmetics first launched in 2016, and after selling out within hours, was then available at retailers such as Ulta Beauty – and having been bought out by beauty conglomerate, Coty in 2019, which made Kylie a millionaire, the brand is now getting a full makeover and will be relaunching – to the point where the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page deleted all social media posts made on the platform prior to May 2021 in the process of the brand overhaul.

Kylie revealed the first drop of her reformulated vegan products earlier this month, namely her Lip Kit colors, to her whopping 242 million Instagram followers, with the caption, “Meet the new Lip Kit: smudge resistant, vegan, lightweight, 8-hour wear, [I] gave Kylie Cosmetics a little makeover,” hinting that this was the first of many new products. She told her fans that the new kits would be “all the shades you love, refreshed and reformulated.” The gluten free formulation will also have a “true-matte non-sticky finish.”

The new clean versions of the much loved Kylie Cosmetics include, 37 lip kits, 30 glosses, 32 matte liquid lipsticks, 15 waterproof gel eyeliners, nine lip liners, four lip blushes, and is set to be released soon (we hope)! Kylie Cosmetics has always maintained that it is cruelty free – and do not sell anywhere in China as animal testing is compulsory for particular beauty items.
