At last, Valentino is taking on the beauty world and it’s clear the Italian luxury house with a ‘no rules’ mantra is going all in. The impressive first make-up collection, created to embody the concept of “create your beauty dream,” includes 50 shades of lipstick, 40 shades of foundation, and various eye products. Coming in an array of blazing hues with exquisite textures and high-performance formulas, the multi-use, multi-finish products are perfect for all those summer parties we hope to attend.
For the “daring, expressive and inclusive” make-up line, the house joined forces with Raoul Alejandre, the boundary pushing L.A. based make-up artist. And with colours ranging from black, peridot greens and corals to rich blues, bitter yellows and vibrant pinks, the dream team has managed to find something for everyone. Thanks to the Light-LastingTM technology infused into each product, the sensorial, innovative formulations are ultra-light, breathable, long lasting and comfortable to wear. Additionally, the collection stands out for its Triple Technique application, meaning many of the beautifully crafted pieces can be used in three different ways. Then, of course, there’s the packaging that’s as luxurious and enchanting as the house’s gowns. Coming in glossy, distinguishable Valentino Red, it features the Valentino VLogo that is found on the storied label’s accessories and jewellery.
“Beauty and fashion are in a constant and symbiotic evolution. The work we are doing in Valentino is guided by the values we trust in, we moved from an aesthetic built on exclusivity to an inclusive one, we grew from a two-dimensional vision of beauty to a three dimensional one, where emotions, dreams and individuality are as important, if not more, as any other feature,” Valentino’s Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, said in a statement. “Beauty is directly connected to the intensity of our feelings, the more we love, the more we are connected to our true self, the more it shows and glows on the outside. Valentino beauty is for the dreamers.”
