An intoxicating floral scent, Ex Nihilo’s “Gold Immortals” comes with a bold haute couture touch. The creation by Jordi Fernández opens with sophisticated notes of pear and bergamot. Then, as well as the enigmatic floral heart of lysylang and peony, there’s the base of tonka bean, musk and amber to complete this contemporary reinterpretation of “the great oriental tradition.”
“Flower by Kenzo” is a bright musky floral with an intimate, enveloping trail. After opening with a subtle spark of Sicilian mandarins and lemons and a fruity touch of lychee and hot ginger, master perfumer Alberto Morillas places the rose, more precisely sensual Bulgarian rose water, as its central note. Joined by mimosa and chamomile, it is laid on a base of amber, hints of vanilla, white musk and patchouli.
Signed by perfumers Anne Flipo, Fanny Bal and Dominique Ropion, “L’Interdit Edition Millesime” from Givenchy is the ultimate tribute to women’s audacity. The radiant and mysterious eau de parfum opens with the juiciness of bitter orange and the freshness of ginger. Lively, sunny orange blossom from Egypt appears in the middle notes, along with addictive tuberose and the crunchy delicacy of neroli. Finally, almond milk and musk team up with a captivating woody accord made up of vetiver and patchouli in the base notes.
Guerlain’s “Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet” is for lovers of life who radiate positive energy. The intensely bright, fresh fruity oriental fragrance with a tender and sensual soupçon opens with the fruity accents of magnified pear accord and mandarin orange, as well as bergamot. The contrasting floral heart includes lavender, bright and sunny jasmine sambac and peony. For the base, noses Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk opted for Tahitian vanilla, white musk and woody, creamy sandalwood.
Created by inhouse perfumer and Co-Creator of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Francis Kurkdjian, “Gentle Fluidity” gold edition is imbued with musky, oriental notes. Part of a duo with different identities but the same notes of juniper berries, nutmeg, coriander, musks, ambery woods and vanilla, it offers a distinct olfactory unisex silhouette. In the eau de parfum’s generous, pervasive trail, there’s the floral, spicy note of coriander seed essence and an overdose of musks and vanilla. In the base notes, the gourmand, reassuring notes of the vanilla accord are enhanced by the ambery woods.
Inspired by young French ladies of the 18th century who soaked their handkerchiefs in dew to moisturise their faces, Parfums de Marly’s “Delina La Rosée” has a stirring floral composition. The radiant citric top note of Italian bergamot is teamed with lychee and pear. The star of the heart notes is the spiced and honeyed Turkish rose essence, accompanied by peony, watery and floral notes. Fine Haitian vetiver, with its dry, smoky notes and exquisite nutty tone, white musk and woody notes complete this fragrance by nose Quentin Bisch.
MCM’s new signature fragrance, which expresses an attitude of originality and optimism, captures the essence the brand’s DNA of travel. Vibrant raspberry and apricot are the chosen top notes in the artisanal composition, while the middle notes include white peony, hand-picked jasmine absolute and violet leaf. White moss, vanilla, Ambrox® Super and sandalwood perfect the spirited floral woody aroma by Senior Perfumer Clément Gavarry.
For “Born in Roma Yellow Dream” perfumers Anne Flippo and Nicolas Beaulieu were inspired by the Eternal City, bathed in a warm, comforting light. The fragrance that speaks of the energy and joie de vivre of the modern Valentino woman has radiant and sparkling Italian bergamot, fizzing, zesty Primofiore lemon, plus the gourmand, juicy notes of a lychee accord for top notes. At its heart, the intriguing musky floral has airy, yet tender peony and silky, opulent Turkish rose essence. The reassuring power of a white musk accord, the addictive signature of a creamy, spicy Madagascan vanilla absolute and a vibrant Virginia cedarwood make up the base notes.
