Check out the Mona Lisa from the comfort of your couch!

The infamous Paris Louvre museum is now making its entire art collection available to view from anywhere in the world – that’s over 48,000 pieces of art and historical artifacts!

The pandemic meant that the French Louvre had to shut down operations, and with art lovers, tourists and researchers in mind, they decided to give people the opportunity to visit virtually. You can now bring the museum to the comfort of your own home, and for zero cost, browse all of the art and history on the new platform, collections.louvre.fr, where you can have access to everything from Islamic art, ancient Egyptian artifacts, Renaissance sculptures and more from all over the world.

Making it super easy to navigate the online museum and its collections, the newly launched website offers advanced search features, and allows visitors to browse the museum room by room, the same way you would when you visit the museum in person.
The Louvre have also announced that the platform will be updated as the museum continues to acquire more in their collections.

One of the most visited museums in the world, the Louvre in Paris welcomed over 10 million visitors annually.
