If you’re looking for somewhere exotic in southern Saudi Arabia, then why not pay a visit to Al Baha? Al Baha is a province that offers everything for everyone, from historical sites to cultural events, abundance nature and diversity of wildlife. One prime spot for those looking to get away from it all is Raghadan Forest Park, located just between Al Baha and Taif city. Raghadan is considered one of the most beautiful parks in the kingdom known for its lush greenery, breathtaking view of nearby mountains and valleys, and favorable climate.

Spread across 600,000 square meters of lush nature, Raghadan Forest Park is situated on a cliff over 1,700 meters above sea level, giving visitors a stunning panoramic view of the nearby mountains, and Tihama Plains and King Fahd Aqaba down below. Because it is at such a high altitude, it is possible to see clouds passing by the mountains from the top of the forest. The regional climate also makes for suitable conditions for fogs, which gives distant areas a tropical look, especially at sunset.

Raghadan Forest Park started off as an untouched, wild area, before it was then adapted into a park, making it more accessible to visitors. In fact, you may now easily stroll over the hills using the pavements, and, with juniper trees taking up 90 percent of the park, still be able to enjoy the wilderness around you. Visitors may also get the opportunity to see natural wildlife around the area, since the park is home to indigenous baboons. Raghadan Forest Park is also famous for its waterfalls, with special lighting effects being used to complement them during nighttime.

In addition to sightseeing, there are various activities and attractions that one may partake in while at the park. Raghadan is particularly famous for its Sunday market, which is one of the most popular ones in Al Baha. There is also a playground for kids, as well as food and barbecue stalls, a movie theater, paragliding facilities, and a mini store. The park is also no stranger to hosting festivals in the summer.
