UN Official Praises Saudi Arabia's Distance Education

The United Nations’ resident coordinator in Saudi Arabia has praised the the country's swift transition to distance education amidst the coronavirus pandemic. According to Arab News, Natalie Faustia said that the Kingdom continued the educational process for more than 6 million students without interruption. She also added that the country laid out interactive tools and solutions like Madrasati platform, which holds 23 educational channels and an online YouTube channel.

The Kingdom’s quick response to the sudden stop of studies also caught the UN official's attention. Faustia said that the prompt set up distance education platform within hours of school closures is a major success story to other countries in the face of the pandemic.
