The Kingdom’s capital is hosting Riyadh Oasis; a winter festival sponsored by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and the International Company for Organizing Events and Activities, in cooperation with Seven Experience and Rotana audio and video company. The luxury entertainment project in the Kingdom’s desert interior, will be running until 12th April 2021.
Turki Alalshikh, the Saudi Royal Court Adviser and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, took to Twitter to announce the date of the inaugural day, tweeting, “our rendezvous will be on Sunday, God willing, out of your wildest imagination!”
Riyadh Oasis has been referred to as “a tailor-made 5-star winter sanctuary at the heart of Riyadh’s beautiful golden desert landscapes.” Riyadh Oasis offers entertainment experiences where visitors will be able to explore, eat, play, celebrate and camp out with their nearest and dearest.
The exciting new concept is situated between Al-Ammariyah and Diriyah, the breathtaking desert area on the outskirts of the city of Riyadh and is expected to combine modern luxury against a stunning backdrop.
Riyadh Oasis has been launched to give local citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia an opportunity to experience leisurely activities such as cultural experiences, live entertainment, multicultural music and performances, as well as fine dining and even the ability to indulge in some retail therapy with brands such as Papillon, and luxury jewelers, Cardial amongst others.
A place to experience the great outdoors, those who wish to take some rest whilst they’re in the desert can take up some accommodation in the form of glamping. Luxury areas that can accommodate up to 8 people have been tastefully decorated to make visitors feel at home. Complete with living rooms, dining areas and luxury bathrooms, make for a comfortable visit as the oasis is open until 3am on weekends and weekdays – however the glamping areas do not permit overnight stays.
Visitors can also indulge in fine dining at pop up versions of much loved international dining establishments such as Zuma, Nammos, Ninive, and Amazonico.
Tickets for the restaurants and the glamps can be booked using The Chefz app. Restaurant reservations cost between SR500 ($130) and SR860, while a reservation for one of the Glamps will be about SR13,000.
