Saudi Female Doctor Succeeds in Developing Covid-19 Vaccine

Assistant professor at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and Ph.D. holder in Biomedical Engineering & Biotechnology-University of Massachusetts, Dr. Iman Al Mansour just developed Saudi Arabia's first vaccine against coronavirus.

"The Institute for Research and Medical Consultations’ team, led by Dr. Iman Al-Mansour, has succeeded in developing a Saudi vaccine against coronavirus,” the university tweeted. “Preclinical studies have been completed, the research has been conducted, and clinical trials will begin after taking the necessary approvals.”

The research’s findings have been published in the scientific Pharmaceutical Journal and have achieved high impact. The vaccine, which adopts DNA technology and requires no freezing, will now enter the trial phase. Congrats to Dr. Iman Al-Mansour on this Saudi milestone!
