People in The UAE & KSA Are The Most Eager To Travel Abroad Next Year

Some great news for the Middle Eastern aviation sector and things can only get better as vaccines begin to roll out around the world...

People living in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are the most likely to make an international trip in 2021, according to a recent survey. Called ‘Global Holiday Intent,’ the study was carried out by YouGov on behalf of Reed Travel Exhibitions, a leading global events business.

The survey by the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) organizer, which took place in October and November, asked participants if they were planning to travel internationally within the next 12 months. And the planners found 48 percent of those polled in the emirates are bent on travelling next year, while respondents in the Kingdom came in a close second, with 46 percent intent on jetting off.

“This survey was conducted before the most recent announcements about COVID-19 vaccines, so in many respects this is even better news for the Middle East’s aviation sector, Danielle Curtis said.

“Nearly half of those polled, confirmed that they intended to travel in 2021 and once vaccines have been rolled out around the world, those numbers can only increase,” the Middle Eastern Exhibition Director of Arabian Travel Market, added. Curtis said many expatriates will be seeking a peaceful holiday or hoping to travel home to see family and friends.
