If you’re looking for a museum that leaves you feeling cheerful and that actually encourages photography, then Saudi Arabia’s newly launched Museum of Happiness (or Mathaf Sa’adat in Arabic) is for you! Book your ticket online and arrive at least 15 minutes before your ticket entrance time, and step into an experience unlike any other, designed to provide you with an experiential adventure that aims to increase happiness and wellbeing.

This one-of-a-kind museum located in Riyadh has been designed to provide visitors of all ages and backgrounds with a delightful experience, claiming to increase your dopamine and serotonin levels – basically boosting your happy hormones. It boasts “imaginative, multi-sensory installations that bring to life your most delightful dreams” and has also been described as the “perfect space for your selfies and Instagrammable moments.”

The family-friendly space itself has been created to put a smile on people’s faces! Adorned with yellow & pink walls, one of its rooms offers fluffy walls from ceiling to floor, as well as a gigantic pink teddy and hanging bananas. With staff taking the necessary health precautions by donning facemasks, visitors are bound to have a happy, safe & fune time.

A space like this is definitely a welcome addition especially in today’s society that is marked by increased levels of stress, negative media press coverage, levels of loneliness during times of social isolation due to the ongoing pandemic, and more. As Saudi Arabia loosens lockdown restrictions, the Museum of Happiness is a space that many will want to visit to spend an hour in and unleash that inner child!
