The Art Of Tastefully Stacking Your Jewellery

The journey to becoming a master stacker starts here…

A trend that’s here to stay, layering or stacking jewellery is a fantastic way to add some glam to any ordinary outfit. It is a particularly easy and practical way of switching up your work look to a more playful evening one. (A neckline with necklaces of varying lengths, for example, can really do the trick.)

The old adage “less is more” applies in many cases, however it most definitely doesn’t when it comes to accessories. In fact, A-list fine jewellery designer Jacquie Aiche's motto is the more layers, the better. And while there really isn’t a wrong way to stack jewellery, there is a certain method to the madness. Thankfully Aiche, who has clients like Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Shanina Shaik and Rihanna, has shared some tips that will help you pull off bold and tasteful elegance rather than overkill.

Whether a lover of multiple wrist adornments, layers of delectable necklaces or clusters of rings on your fingers, here are some simple rules to follow when piling on the accessories.

Necklaces

When layering necklaces, remember to stick to simple, elegant pieces with beautiful details (think thin and delicate.) Aiche, who blends her Egyptian-Native American heritage into the brand's creations, encourages experimenting with various styles and lengths. Plus, the jeweller who works directly with miners to hand select each and every precious stone embellishing her original pieces thinks it’s important to take into account your outfit, most importantly, the neckline of your blouse or shirt.

Rings

Ring lovers should really go for it and play with different lines, shapes, and metals (imagine chunky and thin, horizontal and vertical.) For the best results, Aiche, who designs for the rebellious woman who lives for “diamond details and sensual layers,” advises leaving one finger bare, whilst the other has the rings.

Bracelets

You have the green light to have fun with bracelets and wear as many as your heart desires. Aiche, who aims to spread positive energy, says one trick is to look to designs with varying thickness, widths and textures to really compliment and balance each other.
